Overview:
Coordinate health testing and transportation of NuEra bulls, beef bulls and dairy bulls & heifers to ABS Global and its affiliates.
Specific accountabilities:
- Work with Breeders, Vendors, Regional Sire Analysts, Beef Team, Genetic Support Team and the Veterinary Department to ensure timely testing and transportation of bulls both domestically and internationally.
- Support Veterinary Services by preparing samples and submitting information to Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (WVDL).
- Support the Female Program (DeNovo) by updating databases, running reports, scheduling tests, and coordinating transport.
- Serve as backup to the Genomics Coordinator by learning all the responsibilities of the position and routinely performing those responsibilities.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an agricultural related field such as Animal Science, Agricultural Education, or Agribusiness.
- Knowledge of and skill in farming operations, cattle handling and animal transportation.
- Previous Interstate livestock testing and movement experience preferred.
- Advance knowledge in Microsoft Access and Excel.
